Key Presentations this weekend!


We look forward to welcoming our visitors to the 2024 Ageing Well Expo this weekend with three key presentations to start the event from 10.15am on Friday 2 August.


The Welcome to Country will be hosted by local Noongar Elder Kevin Fitzgerald inviting people onto country to share two days of information and enjoyment.


The attendance and Official Opening by the Hon. Kyle Owen McGinn MLC, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Seniors and Ageing is appreciated and reflects the importance of our seniors as part of the community of Western Australia.


The keynote address is presented by Mark Kinsella, CEO of the Council on the Ageing (COTA) for WA. Ageing Well, Your Choice, his lead presentation will highlight the need to plan for the more than 650,000 Australians retiring in the next 5 years. This presentation examines how to live a good life after 65, introduction to issues you might expect and how to overcome and prepare for obstacles. He will also be releasing some interesting research on how older people want to communicate and be communicated to.
